Free TikTok DM template generator

This free generator builds a copy-ready TikTok cold DM from three choices — use case, goal and tone — plus a matching follow-up. 15 templates, all under 300 characters, no signup and no email required.

Generate your TikTok DM template

Three dropdowns, one click. The generator pairs a first message with the closing ask that matches your goal, then adds a follow-up for when nobody answers. Copy it, swap the variables, send it.

How do I use the generator?

Pick three options, hit generate, copy. Each output is a first message under 300 characters plus a follow-up — here's how to get the most out of it.

  1. Pick the use case Who you're messaging and why: pitching a brand as a creator, recruiting a creator for a campaign, acquiring agency clients, recruiting TikTok Shop affiliates, or selling a service.
  2. Set the goal and tone The goal changes the closing ask — book a call, get a reply, or send your portfolio. The tone rewrites the whole opener: casual, direct or warm.
  3. Generate, copy, personalize Swap {{handle}} and {{first_name}} for real data before sending — or load the template into Hooka and the variables fill themselves per recipient.
  4. Hold the follow-up for 3 days Send it only if you get no reply. In Hooka, follow-up steps wait 1–60 days and stop automatically the moment someone answers.

What does a good TikTok cold DM look like?

Short, specific, one ask. All five below come straight from the generator's library — direct tone, "get a reply" goal. Swap {{handle}} and {{first_name}} before sending.

Pitch a brand · direct

Hi {{first_name}} — keeping this short. I make conversion-focused UGC for brands in your space, and I have one concept built specifically for {{handle}}. If that sounds interesting, just reply and I'll send the details.

Recruit a creator · direct

Hi {{first_name}} — we're recruiting creators for a paid campaign and {{handle}} fits the brief: right niche, right audience. Flat fee per video, brief provided, you keep creative control. If that sounds interesting, just reply and I'll send the details.

Agency client acquisition · direct

Hi {{first_name}} — we help brands like yours turn TikTok into a sales channel: strategy, creators, posting cadence. I checked {{handle}} and see three quick wins we could ship in month one. If that sounds interesting, just reply and I'll send the details.

TikTok Shop affiliate recruiting · direct

Hi {{first_name}} — we're recruiting TikTok Shop affiliates for a product that converts in your niche. Free sample, competitive commission, full creative freedom. {{handle}} is exactly the profile we want. If that sounds interesting, just reply and I'll send the details.

Sell a service · direct

Hi {{first_name}} — I offer [your service] for TikTok-first businesses. I looked at {{handle}} before messaging: you're leaving results on the table in two specific places. Happy to tell you where, free. If that sounds interesting, just reply and I'll send the details.

Why do short first messages win on TikTok?

Because a cold DM on TikTok gets one shot. By community estimates (as of June 2026 — TikTok publishes no official numbers), a non-follower only sees one message request from you until they accept or reply. There's no thread to build, no second line to clarify: the preview text decides whether you get opened at all.

Short messages also read as typed, not pasted. A sub-300-character opener with one specific detail — their latest video, their product, their niche — beats a five-paragraph pitch because it respects the medium: people check TikTok DMs between videos, on a phone, in seconds. One context line, one value line, one small ask.

That's why every template in this library stays under 300 characters and ends with exactly one question. For deeper variant packs and full follow-up sequences, read the TikTok cold DM templates guide. And when you want to know which opener wins instead of guessing, Hooka's A/B testing picks a variant at random per send — up to 20 per step — and reports reply rate per variant.

TikTok has no official API for outbound DMs, and any automated sending carries real account risk. Hooka minimizes it — up to 100 DMs/day per account (spaced naturally), 7-second spacing, rotation across up to 10 accounts — but no tool can honestly promise zero bans. Start lower on new accounts and ramp up, and use dedicated accounts. Pricing starts at $89 per connected account/month, as of June 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Is this TikTok DM template generator free?
Yes — completely free, no signup, no email. Pick three options, generate, copy. It's built by Hooka, a TikTok DM outreach platform, but you don't need an account to use it.
Do these DM templates actually work?
A template is a starting point, not a guarantee. Reply rates depend mostly on who you target and how you personalize — a decent message to the right 100 people beats a perfect one to the wrong 1,000. Test 2–3 openers against each other and keep what gets replies: that's exactly what Hooka's A/B testing measures, per variant and per step.
Can I automate sending these DMs?
Yes. Hooka sends templated DMs with {{handle}}-style variables from up to 10 connected TikTok accounts, with up to 100 DMs/day per account (spaced naturally) and follow-ups that stop automatically when someone replies. 100/day is TikTok's hard cap per account and it's user-configurable — start lower on new accounts and ramp up. Automation always carries some account risk — Hooka minimizes it with pacing, spacing and rotation, but use dedicated accounts. See all features.
